Your story matters
Not just the polished parts you share easily, but the real, raw places you've learned to keep hidden. The heartaches that still echo. The wounds that shape how you see yourself, God, and others. These hidden places hold the seeds of your healing.

What happens when you explore your story with curiosity and kindness? Healing takes root. Like a garden that needs attention and care, your inner life can flourish when given the right conditions.
Kepos Story Coaching is a safe space to bring your whole self - wounds, wonder, and all - to discover new freedom, peace, and clarity.

How Story Work Brings Healing
Kepos (Kēpos) comes from the ancient Greek word for a cultivated garden, a place of growth, reflection, and intentional care. Your story deserves the same kind of attention.

Like a garden, your story is complex terrain, shaped by splendor and struggle. Past wounds don't fade on their own and can even worsen over time. They shape how you relate to, react to, and make sense of the world today.

Through Story Work, we gently unearth what has taken root in your heart, including the unhealthy patterns, promises, and protective strategies formed long ago. We clear space for something truer and freer to grow.

Drawing from the trauma-informed framework of Narrative Focused Trauma Care developed by The Allender Center, Kepos integrates psychology and spiritual care to help you engage your formative stories with curiosity and kindness, tending to your inner life the way a gardener tends to sacred ground.

Is This You?
Even when life looks good on the surface, no matter how much you pray, read, or try, you might find yourself:
Carrying an inner weight that won't lift
Sensing that something deep down isn't well
Struggling with relationships despite your best efforts
Feeling stuck in unhealthy behaviors you can't seem to break
Feeling disconnected from your purpose or calling
Being reactive with the people you care about most
These aren't necessarily signs of weakness or failure.
They're signals that old wounds are still shaping your present.
Like seeds planted deep in soil, our early experiences take root in ways we rarely recognize.
That's why engaging your story matters.
What Story Work Is (And Isn't)
Though it can be a powerful complement to professional counseling, story work isn't therapy. And it isn’t spiritual bypassing. Story work is a sacred space where you are seen, not fixed; met with presence, not pressure.

There's neuroscience behind why this works. When we tell our stories in the presence of a caring listener while connected to our emotions, something profound happens: our brains can actually rewire. Neural pathways that were separated begin to reconnect and integrate. This integration is the biological basis of healing or what Scripture calls shalom: true peace and wholeness.

When nurtured in community through faith, hope, and love, even your most painful stories can bloom into beauty.

Lives Changed Through Story Work

Elizabeth, Kepos Founder & Your Story Coach
I’m Elizabeth Robertson, a practicing corporate attorney, small business owner, and story coach trained in Narrative Focused Trauma Care through The Allender Center. I created Kepos for people who carry complex stories of heartache and harm; those who long to understand what has shaped them and who are courageous enough to hope for a more whole, grounded way of living. My work is rooted in deep respect for the resilience of the human spirit and the belief that healing becomes possible when our stories are given space to be seen, heard, and honored.
